Nursing career anchors and professional exercise: is there alignment?

ABSTRACT Objective: to identify the types of career anchors university hospital nurses and alignment with current work, from perspective workers’ health. Method: a descriptive quantitative study, developed in 135 nurses, December 2018 February 2019. The Career Orientations Inventory was used as an instrument assess job. Results: it identified that most frequent were: Security/Stability, Service/Dedication Cause, Lifestyle. Among 63.7% were not aligned their anchor. Conclusion: factor is prevalent among demonstrating seek meet professional motivations, but do find which can lead physical exhaustion psychological distress.
